Singing is not just a passion for Ashley, it is her calling. Ashley was saved at the age of ten, called into ministry at the age of 13, and has enjoyed singing and listening to Southern Gospel music all of her life. At the early age of five, she made her debut performance singing solo in a church program and afterwards the preacher gave her $1. After that, the rest was history. And ever since she was a teenager, Ashley believes she will one day have a full-time traveling singing family.
Ashley has always been involved in choirs with both church and school. Growing up, she entered some of the district talent competitions through her church and won on two different occasions! She was not only involved in church and school choirs, but she was also a part of the district youth choir, Impact. During two of her high school summers, her sophomore and junior years, Ashley traveled with a group called Destiny. Destiny was a Nazarene-based group that ministered through song and drama with 35 to 40 teenagers from all different parts of the United States. Those are some of the best memories of her life! Ashley received a music scholarship for voice from Faulkner University located in Montgomery, Alabama. She was involved in the Faulkner Chorus, their ensemble, and was involved in the Faulkner Dinner Theatre. Ashley has performed at several weddings, funerals, church events, arts and crafts festivals and even Montgomery’s Minor League Baseball Team, the Montgomery Biscuits, to sing the National Anthem. Ashley completed her first year at the Steve Hurst School of Music as a vocal student in the summer of 2011. It was very beneficial to her not only musically, but spiritually!
In 2012 was a very special year for Ashley. She met and married, Mr. Jason Acreman of Greenville, Alabama. Ashley waited a long time and after years of being single, dating and praying, God blessed her with a Christian man that is a huge supporter of her ministry. They were married in Montgomery, Alabama at Capital City Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, September 1st, 2012.
After Ashley and Jason’s first year of marriage, God literally brought them their first home. Six weeks after moving in, they found out they were expecting their first child! So four days after their two year wedding anniversary, they welcomed their daughter, Isabella Faith Acreman on Friday, September 5th, 2014 at 3:59PM. She was a perfectly healthy beautiful baby girl weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces and 20 ½ inches long.
Ashley is more than happy ministering wherever the Lord leads, whether it is through special, through song in concert, event, or woman’s retreat. Ashley and her family currently reside in Montgomery, Alabama. She loves to shop and is the ultimate girlie-girl! She is very dedicated to her family and loves to attend as many Southern Gospel concerts as she can. She has also a love of photography and would love to one day turn this into a side business!
God has blessed Ashley with powerful vocals, a pure soprano voice, and a great ear and a wide range. Ashley sings everything from Southern Gospel, Country, to a very progressive style music. Her first love will always be Southern Gospel. Ashley’s prayer is that her music will lead many people to Jesus Christ through song.
